Just curious. Is the amazon prime membership worth to sign up if I am just interested in reading the kindle ebooks? Anyone has the membership and can help to review if it is good?

I have Prime, but not for the reason you are looking at. The benefits that Prime allows for Kindle users need to be activated on the Kindle itself, and hence a vpn can't be used. Which is not very good.

so far i didnt used a vpn to purchase books directly from amazon. Didnt have this issue though for quite some time.

Did u used it more for your other purchases?

Then good on you. It's just that I won't risk USD79 just to use it for your purposes. I use it to get free 2-day shipping of physical products in the US.

Yes. The vpn comes in when I use my iphone or kindle fire to access the instant video.

If u are using pc or Mac, there is a work around to access instant video without the need of vpn. U need a chrome browser and plug in.
