AMD Loaner CPU program

Hi friends, wonder if anyone got experience with AMD loaner kit program.

Got a X570 TUF Gaming Plus wifi Mobo that does not seem to be BIOS updated out of the box, and with no USB BIOS flash button I'm out of luck trying to boot into BIOS with a 5600x. (Screen is stuck on the TUF logo saying press DEL or F2 to boot into BIOS page).

Sent in a mail to AMD's warranty support, but does anyone know how the process is like for SG?

The loan program got lots of questions from AMD before they approve it. Why don't u go to the Asus service centre, AverTek, to have them update the bios?

Yeah I think their program does mention they will ask for photos of mobo, cpu box etc.

My Mobo set was purchased online overseas so I not sure if I can service in SG.

Have you even tried asking yet? I emailed AverTek before on this and they are ok with helping to update bios but they if anything goes wrong they cannot be liable. That's fine bcos it's not a local board.

Caaaan but dunno if it will work on your new board. Might be too old and not in the BIOS support list

Erm. I dont think is bios issue? Cause if bios not compatible, you wont even see the tuf screen logo. Tuf screen logo out means you are able to POST.

When incompatible bios will mean you will see blank screen with fans of the cooler running max speed and all lights are lighted up with no POST.

Cause when i recieved my x570i strix the other time. That is exactly what happen.

DRAM light is lit, every single configuration single/dual rank all cannot go into BIOS.

Checking online apparently very common problem with this board, and the BIOS version matters a lot for ram stability.

Think I'll go down to SLS to pay Nigel a visit when I can these days.

Dram lit. Able to post but unable to boot up. High likely ram got error or faulty. Assuming no axmp profile turn on yet.

I suggest try to clear cmos first. If cmos clear and cant boot then see if u got spare ram just to boot and update the bios first.

I got short the clear cmos a few times when trying to boot, just short of taking out the ***** battery and cut power only.

Will probably find some time after CNY to troubleshoot this bah, thanks.

Dram light on can also be caused by bent pins. Hopefully it's just you didn't push the ram in enough

Try one stick of the RAM see whether does the DRAM lit goes off or not.
If not may need to reseat CPU.
