Which models are you considering? I would say just go with the cheaper option with the assumption that the specs is more of less the same.

Generally, I would prefer the AMD solution because it tends to be cheaper, and the integrated GPU is more powerful. Therefore if you find a situation where you want to play some game, or run some application that can make use of the iGPU, it will be helpful.

This is not a bad processor, but depends on which AMD CPU you are comparing with. Also, I think CPU aside, there may be other considerations that may skew the value of the laptop. Something you should be mindful of.

5700u any day, unless you can find any 13th gen Intel for similar price and spec.

I think both CPUs are pretty decent. The AMD chip has got more CPU cores and a pretty fast iGPU, but I think the Intel chip should be faster in single core performance (even though its only got 4 cores). The iGPU is not that bad either. But as I mentioned, Intel configs tend to be more expensive. So even though the price delta is just 20 bucks, I supposed there may be other cutbacks, i.e. slower wireless LAN as you mentioned.

depends. e.g. some programs seem to run better on amd compared to intel, and vice-versa

the generation of the cpu and the specific version also matters, not just the brand. e.g. there are a few variations even within ryzen 7 cpu models and i7 cpu models
