thanks. Just what I asked for. Learn from this dude Felfirez.
Then bro, do u have any idea how to use earphones to enjoy trueaudio? Would this work? HDMI -> TV -> earphone. As in, earphone plug into TV. I dont think so right? Need to get some adaptors or something to enjoy trueaudio?
I replied on the way the question is asked, and the way you asked is just pure brainless. Connect to the graphic card directly? Do you see any 3.5mm jack? There are countless explanations, the one you posted which is the 1st search result in google, which you can't be bothered to read too, is the best.
As for connection, take HDMI from your PC to your amplifier, and then use a passive HDMI to DVI converter to bring it to your display. HDMI and Single-Link DVI-D are electrically identical, with HDMI just having some newer features. It should work just fine.
That's in the article too.
To simplify it, to make full use of TrueAudio, you need an external AVR (audio video receiver), amp, DAC (digital to analog converter), etc. So right now you have two audio processors; one onboard where you plug in to the front panel, and the other via the SPDIF or HDMI out from the GFX card.
As of now, TrueAudio isn't matured nor gaining popularity due to its ambiguous methods to the normal consumer. Comparing it to existing available setups such as discrete audio cards, its no reason why people don't bother much. But that's not to say its not interesting if it does kick off in a simpler user friendlier way.
Here's a simple comparison for surround. Other features are too minute at the moment to compare.
