LoL! Ask yourselves. Why would AMD go bankrupt? Since the PS3, XBOX 360 to the PS4, Xbox One and now the upcoming generation of consoles, all millions upons millions powered by AMD hardware. How the heck can they go bankrupt?

Just cos they don't seem to be doing well in the PC consumer market? Meh...

Also take note, Amazon using Epic CPUs. Amazon who has datacenters all over the world. Our multiplayer games are probably powered by an AMD based Amazon datacentre. So not to worry just because they are not doing well in just 1 market segment.

To be fair, original post was back in 2015. Way before anyone knew about Ryzen or it's realistic potential. Besides, console margins are nowhere near lucrative as enterprise servers.

Btw, I doubt Epyc has a sizeable share of AWS's DC given that they only started offering EPYC-based servers around Q4 2018 (iirc). We would need more Intel vulnerabilities and supply issues in order to see more enterprise to shift to AMD.

Everyone need a CPU, not everyone need a GPU.

Think the change from hector to lisa is one of the main reason why AMD manage to pull itself out from net loss to net gain.

actually in 2015 there is already rumor that new CPU microarchitecture is coming. just that everyone don't think it is going to be good.
