Any Boeing shareholders here?

Deployed 5% of my portfolio into Boeing at the apex of the 737 MAX crisis few weeks earlier, when I thought the share price was cheap. Now my position is down 70%. Small dent to my portfolio, but still quite painful.

Planning to hold on to my position as I believe a U.S. government bailout is highly likely.

Anyone else on the same boat? :s13:

Another example of a "too big to fail" company was GM in 08 crisis. It was bailed out but all existing shareholder was wiped out as well. Think it was forced into bankruptcy and subsequently restructured for the bail out to happen. New stock were issued and existing stock was $0 value. Boeing is extremely close to that scenario given its recent business trauma.

Without Boeing who is left? The only other one handling civil aviation is Airbus?

Don't expect 737Max to go into air so soon. Even it finally pass the certification, the existing plane will need to go thru all the necessary modification before it can resume service. Also pilots need to be re-trained.

Believe by than should be end of the year or next year.
