try syncback free? But it's more like a automated file sync software. The free version is pretty comprehensive imho.

tks. it is quite complicated n lots of features available. before this, i was trying to write a simple script using .bat file to backup my files

Welcome! The vast features it has even for the free version is what I need to customise my backup settings down to the very core plus it has auto sync functions. :)

FreeFileSync. Just remember to change the Comparison settings from "File content" to "File time and size".

Hmm I use EASEus todo backup free. It backups the whole computer system.

No complains so far despite it being a free version.

actually i need something to backup files, not folders or entire system daily at my specific timing.

something like syncback is good but syncback is a little complicated, needs a little more time to familiarise. configured 2 backups, 1 is working fine but the other is not
