singapore can game in rtx 5090 without aircon? moi dont want to dump 1000w into moi room if moi dont want to turn on aircon.
when I had my 5090 air cooled using stock cooler it was hitting 75"C

now i use oversized watercooler bigger than 55" TV its like 40 degrees, with AC drops another 5 degrees

Haha, good luck with power consumption, heat and fire hazard due to melting cable connector.

Personally, I limit total computer power consumption not to exceed 500W.

Same. Moi now limit power for moi 3070 ti to 75% of stock power limit. If 300w, moi can hear jet engine beside moi :(

its not about the heat that rtx 5090 can produce. Its about the melting power connector prone to long usage. There are many cases already. So is up to u to decide.

I saw in other thread and heard about the end production of RTX 5090 will jerk the price even higher.
It will and the current 5080 16GB will end up being close to the launch price of 5090 eventually. And the new 5080 24GB will be the new 5090 for consumer market. Pricing for that is going to be insane with it likely being close to at least 5K here estimate. What a time to be alive.

yup, used 3090 24GB already so expensive

there is no way 5080 24GB will be near 5080 16GB price..

currently 24GB VRAM is a sweet spot for local LLM, hopefully sharing this wont hike up the price even more

Yeah and the 24GB variant will be a scalping model if they can somehow find the use for AI. I am not too sure. I just hope AMD gets their **** together and make something worthwhile for the high end but I am sure we will not see the prices we once saw at 5090 launch for example at least until there is a massive reset. I am glad I sold my 4090 and got the 5080. Games run well on it so far despite the slight downgrade and the only game that kinda made me miss the 4090 was Indiana Jones and the Great Circle where the VRAM consumption is astronomical. Either way the 5080 24GB is going to be hot mess if VRAM is the only upgrade. That additional 8GB is probably going to push the card to sub 5K if there is gonna still be memory shortages. Neverending la...

Ya sia. Regret not buying early
5090 only reach maximum 600w. Where got hit 1000w. My rig max i saw with running cinebench and furmark at the same time then hit 1000w plus. Gaming won't hit so high one.

If when you don't on aircon then just open windows and your room door. Same like pc case. You need fresh air come into your room and need the hot air to go out of the room.
