http://m.prudential.com.sg/corp/prudential_en_sg_mobile/solutions/save/PRUadvance_saver.html

agent said monthly $500 for 7 yrs = $42k. Policy terminate on 12th yr will get back $53k.

so simply is $11k for 5 yr, work out more than 20% return.

good anot? confirm better than normal saving plan or eveb fixed deposit rate.

You know it's better to look at bips for guaranteed and non guaranteed amount, actual return before you can make a better decision too.

The return is not 20% as you say either, and use a 12 year period instead.

Pruadvance saver is a 12 years plan. Thus, the return should be calculated based on 12 years tenor.

First off, the amount stated is not a guaranteed value. The only guaranteed value is the sum assured. The amount stated is assuming the bonus projected are hit so 2.18% or whatever is the best case scenario. The worse case scenario is you get less than what you put in if there is totally no bonus (not likely to happen).
