Do not keep your hp in your pocket. Your wallet too. Its better to hold them in your hands. My hp was pickpocketed when i keep it on the side not facing the road. I react fast enough to catch her, but she was faster. She past it to her accompile who drove off. The people around saw her steal, but will not help. Its a syndicate, so the locals dare not help. Else its a pretty nice place.

Halong bay and Sapa = must go.
Keep your valuables properly
Hostels and street food are very cheap if you're on a budget
