Sorry, the video cannot be played.

We have detected a HDCP issue. Please try a HDCP-certified HDMI cable or connect your device directly to your TV.
For HDCP troubleshooting guide, please visit www.mewatch.sg/hdcp

1. Wow, new troubles .. in digital age of censorship. @@ did not encounter such issue for mewatch content in the past, till now - Olympics Paris 2024 BYE BYE =,(
2. What is this?? Does anyone have clue how to solve?
3. New censorship, getting individual us to pay and pay $$$, to gatekeep Internet content?
4. So how does a OK-to-pay-rich-(me/you) .. go about buying 'the correct HDCP HDMI cable' assuredly HUH

I was looking for answer to this and the exploration led me here, this EDMW forum, which remains redundant after almost twenty years.

Anyway, I found a next best "quick win" solution to this issue. A little context about my setup: MyRepublic BB, TP-Link wifi mesh, macOS device and Google Chrome. I received the same error you've posted. I found out that simply switching to Safari brower would allow you to play meWatch videos. You could give other browsers a try to access MW content and see if it works.

An interesting note, I was able to access MW content using the same macOS device at another location with different network setup, non-MyRepublic BB and non-TP-Link wifi. You would think that this is a primitive dinosaur issue in our flourishing video streaming era, but here we are. Lol

I don't want to invest time to troubleshoot it in greater details because I only access MW for the Olympics. However if someone is interested, network setup is a good place to start your troubleshooting.

I hope this helps and good luck!!
