I suspect is state driven to penetrate and control.

1) they deserve a bigger share of the profits compared to importer buy $1 flip to $3 , leaving the china factory only 50cent profit above 50cent cost.
they deserve justice

2) yes i do think there is state support or subsidy because foreigner's cash can help their factories stay afloat during low domestic consumer confidence .... china spend more money to suppress internal rebellion than external defence .... people with no income and hungry stomach cause rebellion ... it is preventable ..... subsidizing a few loss-making warehouse and cargo ship is small cost

Any supernormal profits will be eaten up by PDD, not the factories.

Factories not making much $ is both a structural n a demand problem. PDD killed most middlemen in cn and became the largest middleman. Now small/mid factories all become price taker in PDD. A factory don't want to sell in PDD? Good luck in finding other middlemen to distribute your products. All dead liaoz. Sell in PDD? Play by all the rules set by PDD where an fxxking ai bot is the arbitrator.

That's y PDD not scared to burn money de. They know if they win the customers, they have logistics n Chinese factories by their throats.

Of course we consumers win lah. But we r all consumers and producers at the same time. We need to make sure we r not working in low/mid-end retail/manufacturing/e-commerce. Can't fight.

Anyone here encountered seller asking for shipping address in China?

I had bought so many items without any problem, except for this seller asking for my CN address.

Nvm just find another seller of the same item and purchase it to send to SG.

just reply "地址确认没错, 谢谢!"
what for tell them you in SG.
sellers in China can't be bothered. lol.

also abit of common sense ...
if you don't reply they also can't do anything either.
sellers have to obey shipping deadline and ship out as-is.
if they don't, your order gets auto-cancelled and you get voucher.

Sellers aren't given your SG address. They are given the China warehouse address that PDD assigns to them. So just ask the seller to ship it to whatever China address they get.

All sellers only ship within China. It's the platform that ships to SG, not them.

This is my first time encountering this, which was why I am asking here.

Don't reveal it's to ship to Singapore.
The seller doesn't need to know it. And seller may sometime use it to their advantage to ship inferior or spoilt goods knowing goods sent overseas cannot easily return.

SG Shipping is a scheme by and arranged by platform automatically, seller need only ship to the address the platform give to them

My Food purchase from PDD clears custom surprising fast.
I'm expecting the delivery to my door steps should be on this coming Saturday.
The trend I spotted is that if the Ship depart on Friday, by the coming Wednesday, it should arrive Singapore, by Saturday, I should be receiving the parcel.

Yeah, I know about the common sense on the unable to ship within a specific time period and order gets cancelled eventually.

Just only the part on seller asking me for the shipping address which I don't understand and that's why I posted here.

The seller might not seen the warehouse address before thus they asked, encountered similar seller query in the early days of taobao shopping.
