I check on Apple Store, there’s Tao bao app and the pdd app, not sure which to download, can help to screen shot which is the pdd app so I can try it out?

If you are scared of sideloading and security issues, use the pinduoduo app within Wechat.

Been using their iPhone apps, since day 1, so far so good.
As long you download from legit sources, like Apple App Store, Google Playstore shld be safe.
Some more PDD is a multi billions legit businees, its in their interest to protect the brand name....

I check on Apple Store, there’s Tao bao app and the pdd app, not sure which to download, can help to screen shot which is the pdd app so I can try it out?

I scanned the APK with VirusTotal. No malware detected. But when I wanted to install on my phone, it is blocked by Intune Company Portal.

I scanned the APK with VirusTotal. No malware detected. But when I wanted to install on my phone, it is blocked by Intune Company Portal.

because years ago one of the version got intercepted by malware . after that no more le on Android

Don’t mention! Mine came in within seconds, almost as fast as local PayNow. Just in time for my China trip later this year.

On the contrary, I find the more expensive stuff more reliable, like seldom 踩地雷, whereas is those super duper cheap stuff that are questionable.

So far my biggest purchase on PDD is a indoor spin bike for around $120. No issues. Bought 5-6 pairs of running shoes all authentic and no problem. PDD is like any other chinese ecommerce platform where there are official stores, authorized resellers and then 3rd party sellers. No worries as long buy from official stores.

No esp for financially stuff I will not do from App Store I’ll get it direct from the website itself.

for this app, I’ll just use droid apk. And leave iOS out of it.

My China friends tell me Alibaba is for foreigners that cannot read Chinese and made to pay a premium for it.

PDD on the other hand is known for poor quality goods and dodgy sellers. That's why the items there are so cheap and there's a reason. Why Taobao don't allow some of the sellers is also due to quality and reputation.

That's what they told me.

I don't trust side loading apps which covers financial payments. There must be a reason for Android to ban this app on their platform and for banning it for so long.

Scanning for malware alone isn't foolproof in the first place.

Do you know what is being coded in the apps? The IP addresses coded within the app that sends data to?
