I still have a PATA Hitachi 2.5 inch hard disk in a hard disk enclosure. I don't think any motherboard comes with PATA now. I just recently discarded a 10 year old CPU and motherboard that still uses PATA.

Dumping it into a recycle bin below my place. I think I've seen special bins to allow people to dump e-waste in shopping centers.
