Aorus Xtreme Mobo: Error 04

Hello everyone,

Any idea why 2 press of the power button is needed to power up the desktop ? This is required each time i cold boot (when main switch is switched of or psu plug is unplugged ).

During the first press: The fans turn, aio lights up but no bios screen or anything. There is no error code displayed as well.

After clicking again: Enters bios and boots to desktop.

After it boots to desktop, the error "04" appears but everything else works normally. A quick search on google shows something about fast boot in windows. So i disabled it but the same thing still happens, just that when it boots into desktop after clicking power button twice, "AO" appears which i supposed is the normal code.

Any idea what could be the reason behind it for needing to press twice to boot into desktop ?

Uncheck fast startup in windows power options and see if it goes away.

Is your memory overclocked? Usually not enough VDIMM training voltage results in this kind of behaviour. Is your memory XMPed?

If none works, try resetting the bios back to default and try again?

Thanks for your advice. I unchecked Fast start up and tried cold booting again. It works this time, not sure why it did even though i tried the same a couple of times before. Will monitor it the next time cold booting again.

And yes, the memory is XMPed.
