Now you're being incoherent. I thought we were talking about backseaters vs frontseaters.

You thought. Wow. Didn’t know you were capable of that. Not judging by your replies. I’ve seen lobotomised fruit flies demonstrating more sophisticated thoughts.

A total of 5 warning incurring 3 points each for the above posts. It's not hard to guess who made the report and plainer to see it's a blatant attempt at using the reporting system as form retaliation. If, indeed, the reporter is concerned about the offending post, he would not have engaged for days on end, and only reported them at the very end.

In any case, it was a series of banter, which neither of us (at least as I can tell) took very seriously. From the tone of words used, we both rather enjoyed the banter (until it came to the point the posts were reported and I realised he/she was not). So it baffles me as to why it is considered trolling / troublemaking / etc. No vulgarity was used, no offensive word was used. Sure, some phrases might have stung a bit, but are the users in this forum so fragile as to not able to take a teeny weeny put down?

And yes, I would say such things in public, in a person's face. I would also be happy to arrange a face to face meet up and say these things to the person in person, if that person is so inclined.

Banter? It isn't banter when both sides are throwing insults at each other. Moreover, the exchange between the 2 of you had no contribution of substance to the topic of the thread.

Be mindful about how you interact with another person. FYI the other party was also issued warnings.

Banter can be light hearted, or it can be intense. Say we were indeed throwing insults at each other, what is wrong with that? That also merit points? What's next? Cannot insult PAP? Cannot insult mayors. Is this a lifestyle forum, or is this a parliament session? If you want all comments to be of contribution to the topic of the thread, you can delete most of the text in the forum already. If you want all members to be good 2 shoes at all times in an internet forum, best to close down the forum.

There's already been announcements about what's acceptable and what's not. There have been bills passed in Parliament.

Derailment of the thread due to bickering is cause for infractions and this is something not new. And no, we do not condone members throwing insults at each other. You can refer to this: https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/help/flaming/

We expect our members to act like people who can hold civilized discussions. It is unnecessary and unwarranted for egregious content or behaviour.
