Apple Online Education Store

Hi I'm thinking of getting a MAC for schooling purposes and I have a few questions about the Apple Education Discount.
1) How do we purchase the Mac from Apple's online store? Do we purchase it as per normal or do we have to call Apple's hotline to get our institution code or etc? I've tried to purchase it but apparently it shows that there is a blank for

2) I'm aware that the AppleCare for education is cheaper ($278) than the normal price. However, as a student,I do not have much cash upfront with me now so I'm wondering am i able to just buy the Mac First and buy the Applecare at the education price on another day?

you just have to go to the edu online store and purchase, so far it hasn't requires any form of verification.

i would normally purchase the applecare together because you would have to do it within 1 year and there is high chance that you forget about it later on.

I was thinking of purchasing it like 3 months later haha but you've got a point

You can purchase the AppleCare within the 1st year warranty.

So you can save the money for few months and make the purchase.

Will recommend you to get the AppleCare together with the MacBook as there is education pricing discount as well.

Not sure if they would allow education discount after purchasing the MacBook. Best to ask Apple via their Chat on their website.

yeah, they do allow on that. i got my macbook pro and the applecare separately, both on education discount..
