Seems it only gives 1Gbps port. I am not sure what is the cap of WIFI mode (Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 2x2 MIMO from APPLE.com). My broadband is 10Gbps and router is near the box. Considering the latency and loss for media watching. What you guys suggest? Go wired or wifi? By right everybody say cable is more stable than wifi forever, but considering the cap speed?? 1Gbps is smoothy enough for 4K flow media and live show? LOL.

BTW I am also considering to update TV. several options, Hisense, E6N, U7K, E7N maybe and other at this budget range?. Or other worthy resale mode? 55in, compatibility with Apple tv, eye protection for child would be the top factors to consider. Of course picture quality is no doubt the first priority.

Normal TVs only have 100Mbps ports, Apple TV provides 1Gbps, more than enough to stream @ 4K.
Like you said, wired is of course more reliable than wireless. But depending on your deployment location etc. then you shall decide what's the ideal connection type.

I gonna put the router and box together near Tv standings, for such closed distance should be good with WIFI connect right?

If it's literally right beside, then WIFI likely shouldn't be an issue.
But personally, I prefer wired still no matter the distance, at least I will eiiminate any chance of intereference as compared to WIFI.

Sorry for hijack, but what do you all do with Apple TV? I know I am like asking the obvious, but is there anything other than watching TV that I could have missed?

I’m using it to play PC games through Moonlight. It’s freaking awesome to play on the big screen.

I mainly use it for watching YouTube and Netflix. I find the interface easier to use, + it's faster than the TV's Operating System.

no way the apple tv is going to utilise more than 1Gbps of bandwidth of ur wired port.

not to mention all streaming of media can utilise even more than 100Mbps of bandwidth as even 4k content on the media streaming are all compressed content.

no reason u will experience latency or whatever on ur current 10Gbps broadband also.

it is a total react to this.

lion city now all household the minimum broadband is 1Gbps and above or more.
this kind of speed is shared among tons of employees in the same organisation also. If it can meet the needs for company while it is shared by so many ppl, no way for household users with the same speed can experience latency.

Agreed on the bandwidth latency even HDR video does not need that high speed, unless he is experience choppy full suite HDR and Dolby Atmos sound streaming then wired connection maybe better improve experience.
