AppleTV3 - Jailbreak

Was thinking of hooking up an AppleTV3 and I need the use of the USB port to run movies files from, don't like the option of running from a mirroring device (not sure if I used the right term).

I heard the only way to use the USB port is to get a Jailbreak AppleTV3 version, Googling shows that this is not yet possible, are there anyone with a JB ATV3? if so where to buy?

I just stream from my storage or from website. Don't know why u need to run it off the thumbdrive.

I don't want to power on my iMac to stream, that is why I want to use my thumbdrive connect to the USB Port.
