Even if the plan is just pure investment? My concern is the funds are locked in very long sia, if i buy S&P 500 isnt it better ?
Dont do it. I invest ilp 10 years still dont see returns, sold it all and closed account. Now i do AI Tech Fund - take 20% profit within 1 year.

I wouldn't (and don't) overweight any sector either, and I don't think it's wise to try.

ILP shoppers are almost always looking for something "simple." Stock or sector picking is not simple. But picking one or a couple low cost, broad index funds, then dollar cost averaging into them, is simple.
