obedient as in they are in a higher socioeconomic status while looking at Malaysia/Indonesia and go on their knees and give thanks to God they are not them = Singapore

Places like US revolted against colonialism hence they do not like to be slaves.

Historically SG gained independence because a minority jjww only, the rest is ok with being servants and slave. Hence they aren't accustomed to freedom. Which leads to us being the servants instead.
