It's a warning - not an infraction. If you're not aware of this system, you can refer to this:-

And yes, you cross posted the same topic in more than one forum, hence you received this warning. If you repeated your mistake(s), infractions will follow.

The whole system is in place to track issues, problems sighted on a per-member basis and the mods/admins can then take the next most appropriate action in line based on the history. Like the fact that you've not made this mistake before, so the moderator decided to warn you instead of infract you for this small issue.

Which is precisely why the infraction system is in place to keep things in check. Don't mix up your case (which unfortunately, I've no re-colleciton of), with those of others. Everyone has a different entry and exit point of problems faced. I don't think the moderators will take actions to thrash your thread unless otherwise you've been trolling or being unreasonable.

the thing is, many of us are not recalcitrant offenders and not doing things on purpose even after repeatedly warned. if we keep on "breaking the rules" then ban by all means.

we are only asking for the reason when we are infracted, a simple message explaining the infraction isnt too much to ask for is it?
