question:

for those who have asus gaming router or an gt-ax6000, can the DEFAULT "game profile" or "game radar" be removed/deleted?

interested in gt-ax6000 for the features but not into gaming

Why do you want to remove it? By default, all the gaming features should be OFF.

FYI I am using RT-AX86U (kind of lower grade gaming or general purpose router than GT-AX6000) and I have never bothered with the gaming features. There is no issue to go with GT-AX6000 even if you are not into gaming.

Not sure has this been discussed, from Asus official store in shopee I saw they were selling the RT-AX82U V2. When I asked what’s the difference they say it’s using an upgraded chip. Not sure what difference though…

Based on the report of RT-AX58U V2 and TUF-AX3000 V2, there are two major updates.
1) 2.5G WAN port
2) BCM6756 Quad Core ARM Cortex A7 1.7GHz CPU, compared to the BCM6750 Tri-core ARM Cortex A7 1.5GHz CPU.

I see. In that case, just the CPU upgrade.

But that is very strange leh.

TUF-AX3000 V2 got the 2.5G WAN Port.

Ports
RJ45 for 2.5 Gigabits BaseT for WAN x 1,
RJ45 for Gigabits BaseT for LAN x 4,
USB 3.2 Gen 1 x 1

Processor
1.7GHz quad-core processor

Memory
256 MB Flash
512 MB RAM

I haven’t seen tuf ax3000 in store yet, so can’t confirm, but ax82 v2 only 1g port

RT-AX82U or RT-AX86S? which is the better choice if same price?

RT-AX86S. It has a better CPU (useful) and slightly better wireless spec on the 2.4GHz (not so useful) and a bit better 5GHz wireless performance (useful).

RT-AX82U price is artifically high in SIngapore. It is below S$200 in mainland China.

I am not good at finding lobangs. But if the S$300 price tag is for a unit of local version RT-AX86S with local waranty, I think it is a good offer.

Last time Courts had very good offer for RT-AX86U Special Edition at S$320 and RT-AX82U at around S$240, but no more such offers this year.

If it is for set without local waranty, then it is not worth buying.

i have 1 question. so my RT-AX86S need to be in DB box? or can it be at my common room where is my pc at?

ONT -> modem -> 5 port switch -> 1 point go to living room port(used for tv,ps5), 1 port go to common room where my router is at. is this okay?

Is it better to stick with this or i buy 2 same RT-AX58u?

You may have to post the floor plan. Do you have two LAN ports in the living room which are close to each other? And you may need to carry out tests to see if your DB box block Wifi signal or not.

What is your total budget? That can be an important factor as well.

Assuming the budget is about S$500 and you do not have two LAN ports in the living room, and the DB box does block wifi badly.
1) RT-AX56U (DB box) + RT-AX55 (living room) + RT-AX55 (bedroom) --> < S$400
2) RT-AX56U (DB box) + RT-AX58U (living room) + RT-AX55 (bedroom) --> about S$500
