Hello Guys,

I had sent Asus and email regards this issue but they had yet to get back to me so I figure out it would be best to ask some of the expert here.

Here is what happened. my girlfriend was doing window update and she didn't realise that the battery was left with 10%. So what I assumed happened was that the window update failed due to battery flat.

But this doesn't really make sense as I am sure OS will automatically rollback if an window update fail if it was installing half way or shut down(sorry please correct me if I am wrong)

The laptop had not been dropped before not misused. I bought it at somewhere july last year.

It is booting endlessly to BIO where I could see the ram,LCD,HDD and etc. But I just unable to boot to window, from what I can see. there is no window for us to boot into.

Is it HDD failure? If yes, it is kind of weird as I can see the HDD/detect the HDD in bios.

I thought of imaging a window 10 into a thumbdrive and try to install into the HDD, how can I active the window 10 then? Can I use back the same code?

Thanks in advance!

Create an image using Windows 10 Media Creation Tool with a flash drive (4gb and up)

I m assuming that since you are able to access the bios, you will be able to boot into the flash drive and do the necessary.

Do not worry about the CD key.
When it comes to that point in the installation, click skip.

When you are back on Windows. (Start —> Type “Activate” ).

Your previous key stored will be automatically activated

Thanks a lot! I had already format a flash drive and copy and paste an iso into it.

Thanks all for your input as I only can try it this sat because it is on my Girlfriend house.

Anymore advise is deeply appreciated

Glad to help.
Note that you need to create a bootable usb media than just copying and pasting an iso on to it.

laptops should come with recovery. you can restore an image saved from a hidden partition instead of requiring a separate dvd or thumbdrive. can see manual and try first.

I can't boot to window, well anyway Asus eCustomer service had revert back to me. I will try that method and the method that was recommended by all the bro here as well. As I am speaking, I am currently using Microsoft media creation tool to create a bootable window 10.

Hopefully things work out well tmrw morning when I go over. Will update if there is any progression!
