my last ASUS laptop i7 gen 2 has been serving me well since 2011. Only recently 2 weeks ago I decided to trade-in. Thats a total of 7 yrs of long lasting laptop.

HP is one of the brands that I will avoid like a plague because of bad experiences their laptops in the past. Nowadays I am not too sure, but I won't wanna give it another go.

As for Asus, I do feel it is an over rated brand and sometimes overpriced as well. I bought an Asus laptop before, and I think it lasted quite long with no issues, but it wasn't that cheap compared to competition.
