Hi,

Just brought the new MOBO from TRADEPAC at Sim Lim Square #05-18 yesterday together with the Intel Core i7-4790K Processor.

On my first boot, the Q-Code displays 76, with my CPU-Led lighted up.

Following online helps, I had tried following but it remains with Q-Code 76 with CPU-Led on:

1) Removed all the RAM
2) Removed the WIFI/M.2 Combo card
3) Removed the CoolHub card
4) Removed the SupremeFX card

I had also flashed the latest BIOS one-by-one in sequence from:

1) 17 Oct 2014
2) 15 Dec 2014
3) 7 Apr 2015

Flashing was successful with BIOS flash blinking lights processing until lights off (indicating successful) using the USB.

Need help!

Googled and saw this in Asus ROG forum. Hope it helps.

Hi Stuart_23 and Welcome to ROG

Many have fixed this common occurrence with a Bios update for the Haswell refresh i7-4790k. as Qcode 13 is CPU specific.
You have done this however, was it a successful update?.What method did you use, (within windows or your IO panel) and did you rename bios file to proper M7H.CAP file.

Qcode 76 is DXE (Driver Execution Environment) related and can be either the DIMM modules your using or your CPU.
If Bios has been updated and DIMMs are known to be good and tested in each slot then you may have bent pins in the CPU socket.

Having checked all cable connections and plugs to MB, and still persistent, then a systematic fault check (out side your case) to identify the culprit will be required.
Having checked for bent pins and reapplied your TIM. Just have keyboard and mouse, your PSU and one DIMM installed. No Hard drive for the time being, Then add one component at a time, power up between adding components and see where your Qcode takes you.

If no output to monitor occurs, then try the on board HDMI,VGA or DVI ports on the IO panel.
Sometimes, the PSU has been found to be the cause of under supply and requires a more powerful unit.

CPU led on means could be CPU problem? remount CPU, check pins, etc?
