Hi all

After a couple of variations of my PC speaker setup, from Mackie CR4's to JBL LSR305s and now to the Bose Companion 5, I want to move back to a compact 2.0 speaker system that can sit on my work desk + has decent sound.

Was looking at the A2+ at $400+ price range but the slightly older HD3's seem to get more positive reviews in terms of sound and the DAC. Not as commonly found but there are still a few sellers out there selling it for the $600+ price range,

These days, I don't game anymore, so it's mainly music (easy listening) while I work, the odd movie on Netflix or watching random YouTube/Facebook videos. I have my Bose HTS on my TV for movies, and my KEF LS50Ws for more serious music listening, so these are more for casual listening (and the fact that I spend most of my time in front of the PC).

Thoughts, suggestions and/or recommendations most welcome. Thanks!

Maybe because if everyone always mentioned the same few best speakers it gets old and we will lose new products and perspectives.

The smaller Audioengine speakers are already by now widely known to be not good for the money

If you're going for super small then iLoud is best at it, assuming you don't go louder than 80dB @ 50cm.
