Hi, a question from a novice.

When you guys keep track of your stock holdings, do you include transaction costs when you calculate the average price of a counter?

I think this is up to you whether you want to keep it "on the books" or not.

For me personally, I include the transaction costs.

I include it as well. More accurate

I include transaction cost as part of the purchase price.

But when I collect dividend I also subtract them from cost, so i can compare high and low yield stock on a more even ground.
