Hi.
AXA is onboardeed as Integrated Medishield .
anyone got experience dealing wiht AXA? any information on service quality, claims, etc is needed

thanks a bunch,.,.

(Thinking of getting AXA as integrated shield plan)... the advertisement looks interesting

LONGEST POST-HOSPITALISATION COVERAGE: 365 DAYS
For major illnesses such as cancer, stroke and heart attacks (depending on the stage / severity of illness and unforeseen relapses) recovery may take a longer time. That is why having enough posthospitalisation coverage is important.

With that in mind, AXA Shield is the only Integrated Shield Plan to offer the longest period of 365 days post-hospitalisation coverage in Singapore, ensuring that customers are fully protected for a year upon hospital discharge.

HIGHEST ANNUAL COVERAGE LIMITS
AXA Shield Plan A, with private hospital coverage, offers the highest annual limit in the market at S$1 million. Also AXA Shield Plan B, with coverage for single bedded ward in public hospitals, offers the highest annual limit in its category at S$550,000.

They are aggressive in getting market share, so they will provide a good deal for at least a few years.

Have no idea why AXA even wanna enter into shield plan market where the rest of the insurers who has capture most of the market share are bleeding. Almost all of them adjusting their premium this year to higher due to high claim experience. I wonder if AXA shield will be still around in the next few years. I won't be surprise they will adjust their premium in a few years time.

You're right that shield plans are bleeding. At least this is an indication that AXA is serious about becoming a large player in Singapore. More competition is always good for consumers.

True but is the expensive one like AIA losing money? Their shield and rider quite expensive.

I am currently on Aviva shield plan for my age group, 31-40. It seems AXA cheaper. For plan + rider for deductible and coinsurance.

premiums will only keep increasing throughout all insurers. it wont happen on just one or two. it's only a matter of time. it's statistically known that claim rate and medical cost has been in increasing tread throughout the years.

also deciding between AXA and AIA

AXA is slightly more expensive if rider+general care

leaning towards AXA as their post hospitalization fees is 365 days

One also had to look into the claims being honoured and the response time between claim application and reimbursement. I find it hard with at least one inf insurance company. Whenever they reject though I'm eligible for claim, I have to guide the officers before they pay in full. Not once or twice but umpteen times in my family. Also the post hospitalisation claim is very slow and draggy. I just wonder what happens when insured are not really well educated and the insurance company does these to them

Aviva is more expensive as of now. Their plan 1 going to be increase again.

I think for people considering medishield plans, they shouldn't focus on premiums but the structure of the plans the insurance companies have e.g. if they provide plans catered to different ages in your life.

I am just answering to your question on whether AIA is more expensive to Aviva or not.
