Any 1 wen to bandung b4? Know that there is alot of nice shopping and all.

Would like to go there and shop , eat and relax. any recommendations? Example hotel stay , places to shop and makan?

nothing much to see over there..

shopping-wise is so-so...they do have pasar-malam type of shopping center..

there are several natural attractions over there, i went to the one where it was an old crater..damn..forgot the name..

but overall for me..its a so-so place. you better off going to mount bromo.

I recall an article in the travel section of Life in the Straits Times about Bandung barely 2 weeks ago. Bandung is big on factory outlets, especially for jeans.

there are factory outlets. we went to an outlet quite well known. damn forgot the name. the stuffs there are so-so only. quite variety of stuffs though, handbags etc etc

there are 2 ways of going there, by direct flight or by train. i took train

I been there before too, weather is good just like genting highlight in Malaysia.

as you have since in above post, Bandung is big for FOs but do not expect good quality stuff here.. Didnt really find the shopping suitable as i prefer buying from departmental stores or boutiques (e.g. Zara)..

if u still plan to come (with kids?), u can visit nearby areas.. Perhaps the most famous among the locals is Lembang (floating market, volcano)..
