Hi guys. Planning to go BKK for 5 days (Tuesday - sat). Staying at centrepoint pratunam.

Any recommendation on how I should plan my trips + any must go destination.

Also any good bar or club to visit for a chill out night.

Mainly guys.

cp pratunam, room is big ... 47m2 ...
hotel opened 2010. but they renovated last year.
have seen one or two review ppl say they hear some noises. but think is ok. stayed before once during 2011...

your area is far from bts chitlom
walking to platinum mall is 3-5 min.
walking to centralworld is 7-10min or so
walking to chitlom bts is 12-15min or so

your area is always jam, so most cab wont go by meter if u come back hotel.

you can go centralworld, platinum mall by walking ...
then u can cab to mbk , siam paragon, or take bts from chitlom

If you hit weekend, can take cab to ctc . took from four face buddha there, si about 75b ....

take a train or bts to chatuchak market...
if bts, drop at mochi
but if by train, i couldnt remember the station name but u can check it out with the station control

if u hv not been to asiatique, can take a train to thaksin and go to sathorn pier to take a boat to asiatique... free ride... no harm go there take a look if u hv time... worth for the 1st visit...

yeah depending where u go...
some places travel by bts is faster..cos bkk traffic jam can be very bad....

but if go far, like abit outskirt.... then get a cab

bts better. cab can jam one hour for example city hall to chinatown lol ...

What about the night markets? I only know about patpong night market on weekdays. Is there any more market on weekdays?

patpong market nothing much lol...
only few stretch of stores.
they will mark up high high then sell u lol ... no worth...
other than that, have few shops having shows lol ...

you can consider
- saphan phut night market and the nearby fresh flower market (pak klong talad). saphan phut night market closed every monday.

- khao san road. this is the backpackers' haven. mostly for ang mohs. there are countless number of bars/pubs/restaurant. you can also find street vendors dotting the whole stretch of the road. there is a very LC (heaven forgive) night market called khlong lod night market which is a short 5/10 mins walk from KSR. it is LC because the stuff there are typically used, 2nd hand or imitation. if you walk toward darker part of the road, you can see homeless folks sleeping along the roadside. and foul smell of urine invades your nose. sorry for being descriptive. it's something, the market and the folks, we hardly see in sg. just watch out for your bag.

edited: there are news that the khlong lod night market vendors are going to be evicted. so i can't confirm if they are still around anymore. http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/vendors-agree-move-klong-lod/
