Hi anyone ever stay in any of these hotels?
1. Anantara bangkok sathorn
2. Hotel de bangkok
3. The grand sathorn

Are they anywhere near central shopping areas like
siam paragon, mbk etc?

Anantara bangkok sathorn: 12min walk to bts . Think they might have shuttle service to bts at selected timing. Premier room is 39m2, no bath tub.
Oak Sathorn and anatara bangkok sathorn should be the same boss, coz both building looks the same, and is side by side
The hotel is near Silom area. Taking bts to siam paragon and mbk is abt 3 to 4 stops.

Hotel de bangkok. 3 min walk to rajpraprop station.
Walk 15 to 20 min to nearest bts which is chitlom bts.
Wont stay there, coz is simply too far to the malls (centralworld, platinum)
I believe you want cheaper choice, thats why you choose this hotel right ?

The grand sathorn. Near riverside area. If you like riverside area can stay there. As the name implies is at sathorn

If you want stay near shopping malls or near bts, would have to pay more.
Pratunam would be good if u like shopping. but not near bts ...
Normally would stay sukvhumit area, near bts station .
Have stayed legacy express previously, cannot hiam, coz the price not expensive. Breakfast is bad, but location is good. 3 min walk to ploenchit bts.
If take cab, is 50 to 60b by meter or 100b if not by meter.
1 bts away from chitlom, 2 bts away from paragon, 3 bts away from mbk
legacy express is abt 50+ per nite.

neawrby hotels include JW marriott, novotel ploenchit, majestic grande.
Price is abt 80+ to 250+ per nite at least ...
Else can stay those hotel inside the small alley, such as hotel icon, aspen suites, lohas , whereby some provide tuk tuk service to ploenchit shopping center or ploenchit bts .... price is abt 60+ per nite ...

ok, i read a thread that said staying siam area is better than pratunam as latter got more traffic jams & close earlier for shopping.

if for siam area these 3 hotels which is better in terms of location & service?
(eg. breakfast, travelling etc)

1. Centara Grand at CentralWorld
2. pathumwan princess hotel
3. novotel bangkok

appreciate reply cause sg50 holiday almost wiped out airline tickets, dun want horror repeat for hotel. thanks.

baiyoke sky is at pratunam area. not siam area....
pratunam to siam paragon, need walk 12 to 15 min to centralworld then walk another 12 min to siam paragon

ic, is a old hotel, but super good location. near bts siam, walk to siam paragon is within 3 min

pratunam area is always jam, so most cab would ask for 200b lol, even if you want to go nearby malls like mbk or siam paragon

from my understanding, if you book they sure deduct mah ...
unless you book thru "book first, pay later" rooms ...

my non-refundable booking for hk can't cancel bur still haven't deduct. apparently, is pay directly to hotel upon arrival. they store your cc details in case of no show.

but if book non-refundable direct from novotel is immediately deduct. agoda not sure.

novotel siam sq me likey. i stayed there 3 times. but nowadays more budget conscious, only stay mercure, ibis cos novotel siam sq is close to 150 per night (2nd cheapest room) even when book early.

ya scary, sun midnight i went sq webbie, still can choose to go tpe 6 days only around the sg50 ph period, then sun/mon have to go 7 days. ytd go in see must go 8-9 days.

can try mercure, holiday inn also.

one nite standard room no breakfast shld be abt 70+ per nite ...
