Basic Scanner & Printer - Which one?

My 2 yars old Epson Stylus TX121 died suddenly. Could still use the day before and it konked out now.

Anywhere I can repair it? Think the prob may not be big.

In any case, I am open to buying a new printer too. Which is basic and good now in the market? HP is lasting and good to me but ink damn ex. Epson ink is cheaper but then it runs out fast. I need one to print colour too and have to have a scanner. Anything else is a plus. Of course I want value for ink and the machine itself too.

No one wanna reply me, I need a printer urgently, went to exchange vouchers to buy already la.

Now selling my Epson TX121 with 2 Brand New Cyan and Black Ink for only $42. Self collect in the east. I just changed black ink and 2 coloured ink 2 weeks back without much printing. Ink all at least 60-70% full.

And I think the problem is slight, prob the switch button but I dunno how to repair ah....

Ink cost $18.90 each.

Anyone interested, pls pm me.

get the Canon printer...their inks is Made in Japan... cheaper when compared to Brother ones (current Old Brother printer vs New Canon printer).
First yr svc...technician come to your home to check if the problem can be fix...for free...
Second yr... u can bring it to their svc centre or ask them carry over for a small fee...

Still viewing the printer in progress... if it last more than 3 years... Support it

Original inks are expensive but still 3 years warranty (Carry in )... mine current ones is almost 4 years already... not even broke down... just some rusty inside... but didnt buy the inks after getting the Canon...

During the shows...usually Canon inks got discounts ones if purchase separately and come with NTUC vouchers... but for the other ones...so far have not encounter yet during the 3 years usage

Ok, I am eyeing the HP which I'll get early next week. as recommended Canon or HP and since HP ink prices has dropped now. I thought I want to give it a go. 'Coz experiene with HP has been good. But will check out the Canon one.

HP printer...u going for the Sitex? hope the staff able to answer any question you have...cause the last time I went over to get one...none of them able to answer me thus I went to bought the Brother printer as they answered my questions

Canon got the quiet function printing...think some only models they have...useful in reducing some of the noise during printing

how much is your budget ? honestly if u calculate the print per page cost for brother and HP , brother are cheaper in general but if high end inkjet printers surely HP will be cheaper, Canon inks are the most expensive alr, they only got tri color ink and a black ink , 5 ink cartridges and 6 ink cartridges

I'm eyeing HP Smartphoto 5520 whih cost $100+. Ink cost about $18 per clour and that was what I was paying for the previous Epson. Was told that it can print more than the Epson printer and reviews seem good online.

Any feedback?

why not consider epson with the ink tank.....which u can refill ink at cheaper price

of course , epson L series is using dye ink , and better pigment inks are better then dye inks. and btw if u are refilling it u need to wait for 20 mins to charge in order to use the printer so its very troublesome.. and if u dont use it to print for about 1-2 months the tube clogs then u can "clean it" AKA power flushing , it only can power flush 7 times and after that cant clean it anymore.

I got the photosmart, seems good. Can even print front and back at 1 go though I haven't tried.

Can even print wireless.
