Just bought 2nd hand iphone 7, seller claimed battery changed at Apple store.

When I got the phone, battery health at 99% but within 1 month, dropped to 93%. Is it possible? Could it be the battery is not original as what he claimed?

you can check the service history by going down to apple store or any authorised service provider, then you will know if its real or not.

My colleague bought iPhone X on nov 2017, maintained 100% till Jan 2019 now 97%.

Battery health really can’t justified.

Let me shared my experience with you. I bought my iPhone X on nov 2017, battery health dropped till 95% in Oct 2018. Purchased iPhone XS on Oct 2018, battery health dropped down to 98% then to 96% till Feb 2019.

My colleague bought iPhone X on nov 2017, maintained 100% till Jan 2019 now 97%.

Battery health really can’t justified.

Let me share my experience. My X was bought on 2nd day of launch. 3 days before warranty expires, I brought it to Apple Store to get battery replaced, then was 95%. So I continued using it until I purchased XS Max on Dec 2018. Now ocassionally still using the X alongside my XS Max as the Max became my main phone. Until now both are still at 100%.

Let me again share my experience, I’m also using coconutbattery and so far it’s towards the specs. Variation is also minimal as there’s also no way to say coconutbattery’s statistics are 100% accurate, it’s just a reference and I mainly use it to monitor my MBP’s batt health.

I feel battery health numbers not a very good indicator

It has never been a good indicator, will jump up and down as per my MacBook Pro also.

I guess the moment we realise battery life performance not as good, it’s time to get it replaced..

Coconut battery is also a bit inaccurate, like coconut floating in sea sia, up down like stock market.

My actual capacity for mbp goes up and down every moment. Currently staying at 95.6%, after fully charged can be 96.4%

After clearing physical condition, charging ports ok, next will be battery life. If it’s not up to mark, go to Apple. If it’s void by them, go to next best 3rd party vendor

My mid 2015 MBP until now still ‘floating’ around 91% on average, despite using it daily for almost 4 years. Battery capacities and charges can fluctuate intermittently. Sometimes by looking at the remaining capacity on my MBP, I wonder if in the near future should bring it down to Apple for batt change or simply get the latest model.
