Hello professional programmers of HWZ!
I'm excited to announce that Singapore finally has a community marketplace, LearnList (built with passion), that focuses on the teaching and learning market. LearnList has features of what a basic community should have - student's feedbacks of teachers (& vice versa), feeds column for discussion among the teacher's students & the teacher himself, interactive lesson plan for teachers to indicate availability, private messaging system to discuss everything that matters (lesson cost, lesson venue etc), customisable search result and most importantly, a simple booking process that learners can use to book a teacher's lesson.
It is worrisome that I've taught many kids who are not learning in school, this lead me to think if they are learning in an unsuitable environment or are they not learning things their talent and passion calls for and I feel a focused community marketplace is a great way to start to solve this problem.
LearnList is now launching a private beta and I'm inviting everyone to put forth their talent and provide the best environment, to come up with a comprehensive lesson plan (syllabus) in Programming, to share and teach how you wished you had been taught during your early days and list up your lesson on LearnList (http://www.getlearnlist.com). There is no charge in using LearnList.
Thank you,
Yick Ting
