I m looking for a mouse with device switching button located on top instead of bottom.

I was considering the mx master 3 but read that the button is located at the bottom of the mouse which baffles me.

I m currently looking at the Logitech m720.
Appreciate if u guys can share your experience with multi device mouse for both productivity and gaming

No such for both productivity and gaming.
Most simple is you use a USB KBM.

I transit from M720 to MX2 and MX3 now, for people who frequently switch devices its painfully silly with the button in the belly.

The way M720 cleverly designed with the switch button on the side, actually makes the MX looks like a regressions. Logitech can make it up, by allowing the assignments of switch button from software, don't understand what stopping them from doing so....

If you not into content editing, and need to map the extra keys MX3 in adobe... 99% of the time its not much diff from M720 and i only use the MX side scroll to up the and down the volume... M720 also have e advantage of long battery life up to 24mnths... while the MX3 needs to charge every 2-3 wks... its really a regression for a $160 mouse :)

I feel the reason why the button is situated at the bottom is to prevent user from accidentally pressing it. So while it is convenient to have it at the top, it may not be the best position, depending on how they implement the button.

M720 easy switch button is perfect.
Not easy to hit accidentally and still accessible by thumb

As a previous owner, shared the same views not once it misfired.... and lighting indicators tell u exactly which device is connected... the long battery life (>12mnth) also make it maintenance free... size wise a bit smaller than the MX which is perfect for asian palm.... ;-)

Vouch for USB switch as well. I use their single USB slot version connected to a separate USB hub behind the desk rather than having all the device USB wires on the table which would be the case with the model above.

good point but since i m just gona put 2-3 wireless device dongle on the kvm, its not much different from this model.
it even cost less from shopee with more usb ports. so i think thats a plus for me

People usually forget about the Logitech G603. It's a Lightspeed gaming mouse but it can also connect to 2 devices (dongle and bluetooth; Lightspeed doesn't apply in BT mode naturally). But the device switch button is also on the bottom so it doesn't fit the TS requirement. But I thought I'ld just remind you all that this mouse exists.

M590 if you like small and quiet can bring around more or M720.
For me I got the MX Master 2S coz it’s cheaper than the M720 during sales On shopee or Lazada.

I got one of this as well. I was previously looking out for a USB switch, but was unable to find one. The one that I found on Amazon some time back had a lot of negative reviews where the switch may fry their motherboard because of poor build. Not sure if that is the case, but I didn't dare to try.
