Beware TCL Tv

Beware of getting TCL tv at the show. Previously buy at last September show, during end Oct breakdown, they collect back tv for servicing. Was thinking able to received back in time to watch world cup.end up I received TV after world cup. Took them 7 weeks to return my TV. Almost no customer service at all, took ages to reply my messages. Again my TV breakdown on mid Feb, they jus collect my TV yesterday. Good luck to those buying TCL TV

7 weeks to return the TV after servicing is very unacceptable. That why hard to find more info and research it

Anyway not many ppl buying TCL TV. If really want to buy China brand TV. Should go for hisense or xiaomi.

those are pretty common qc and qa issues associated with china brand tv. both hisense and tcl have those issues with constantly breaking down tv. on some models, the corner cost cutting is so bad, they used too slow cpu for the smart tv functions, internet apps, google/android tv apps so all the smartv tv app functions are too slow and laggy to be usable. just take it as a dumb tv and dont bother with the smart app functions. its so cheap anyway, what u expect?!

could also be because of US sanctions on china in the microchip tech sector, that the china companies cant put powderful cpu into their smart tvs, thats why so slow and laggy lor... but this is not edmw so i'll leave it at that. no further comment. apologies for dragging geopolitics into the technical forum thread.

so if u not tech savvy or have a busy hectic lifestyle and u just dont have the time to take tlc of the china brand tvs, then just stick to the korean and japanese branded tvs like the other members said and pay and pay more for it lor!

got free from event, kept for 1-2yrs then unbox
