Dun get so expensive one to park at the MRT station.

Try to keep the budget to below $250 or thereabouts.

How long is the commute from home to MRT station? Any other use case for the bike?

Get one with a mudguard or install as-savers.

I think those dutch bicycles are good enough.

Or if you want to feel more atas, a 3-speed sturmey-archer rear to negotiate slight gradients.

If getting from Decathlon, be careful of the spokes. Not tuned properly. Breaks easily.Bring it to a skilled bike shop to have it tuned properly. But their bikes are value for money other then its sometimes not properly tuned or installed. Which can be resolved by brining to a proper bike shop for a check.
