Binary Option is primarily a gambling tool.

Like all gambling tool, everyone who plays them wants to make big winning in a short time. However, nobody does.

If you are serious about trading, then trade... Don't play Big-Small.

I'm going to reject the premise of your question.

Binary options are thinly-veiled gambling. They're the equivalent of going down to the Sands and putting it all on black.

You don't ever need a binary options broker, because you shouldn't ever need to trade them.

(For that matter, I don't think there is such a thing as a reliable binary options broker. These things have been regulated out of existence in every reputable jurisdiction, so the only brokers offering binaries will be crappy-ass bucket-shops based in Cyprus or Malta or Mauritius or Panama - all of which should make you run a mile.

Of the five brokers on that dodgy page you pointed us to: one won't even let me access their website; three are based in Cyprus; on is Seychellois, which is a new one on me; and one is a shell company run out of the British Virgin Islands, which is dodgy even by the standards of FX bucketshops. None of them will give you any protection if the broker decides to take your money on an extended vacation to somewhere with no extradition treaties.)

Edit: so I should have clarified "to retail" in the above. There's an active, liquid market for FX one-touches and digitals interbank, and if you're a BSD client you can trade them across relatively tight spreads. But there's no way retail should be trading these things.

I haven't tried that before but it sounds like gambling to me. Maybe anyone familiar with this could enlighten us otherwise?

Hi Jim,

Binary options is a new system for traders to trade with and limiting the downside to only the initial capital. Frankly speaking, it is more advanced than Forex and requires certain level of skills and discipline. This is not a game, not gambling and not for newcomers.

If you like to start, take a look at ecn brokers out there in the market. All the best to you!

Cheers,

It's about hitting resistance or support within a given time frame. Nothing to do with gambling. It's about accuracy of you chart reading and indicators. It can be also use to repair your forex bad trades. And yes it is more advance but if you stick to one counter like gold it can be quite profitable.

Hi KR,

You're right in the sense of pa movements :)
When one is in the streak, discipline is a key ... personally prefers to be in 2-3 counters

I know IG is one of the worst brokers but their options are quite comprehensive. Yeah 2-3 counters is fine where you are very familiar with their movement.

Yeaps, hopefully SG will come to light some day by feeling the markets and not be so skeptical :)
To me, everyone must learn the hard way to receive hard success (sustainable)

Everybody who join in the discussion will benefit not only the TS. This is an open forum and everybody can see.

If it's a gamble then everything is a gamble. The moment you place a trade no matter if it's stock, etf, bond, unit trust, forex wadever it's a gamble. Once a trade is open you have no control whether if it's gonna go up or down. You can only let market decide. So I dun understand why some people think what they do is not gambling and condemn other forms of trade.
