Hi, I'm interested to pursue studying Biomedical Sciences in either MDIS and PSB. I'm contemplating on a lot of factors so I hope current students could help me out with few tips to consider my choices. (eg on the lecturers, employability after studying, school system etc)

don't listen to the above commentator about you're not getting a job after graduating from a degree in MDIS. Is well recognised and you can be a medical technologist when you graduated. =D

Biomedical was hot about 15 -20 years ago, culminating with the establishment of the Biopolis near Buona Vista MRT station. Biopolis was stated to promote R&D in biomedical sciences in Singapore. Since then it seemed to have run 'out of steam'. "No picture no sound". Then again, great things may yet be simmering beneath the surface.

Of the 15 top jobs for Singapore 2020, only one job (Job #11) is somewhat related to biomedical studies by 'Human Resources'. They named this job "Clinical Specialist".

Your MDIS credential will have to challenge those from our local universities in this tight job market sector.

Why not try doing something IT? Many more job opportunities there.
