Hi

Just getting an idea if anyone is doing this. Are there any blacksmiths or knifesmiths or anything in Singapore? You or anyone you know or know of?

That is, if I put a metal pipe on a bbq grill and hit it until it was flat, would I technically be the most skilled blacksmith in Singapore?

I also though about it - likely need a place or workshop for the equipments plus I think some licensing for owning and using those burner.

Bladesmiths

I think more people are slowly getting into it.

The guys at Tombalek have just started a knife making and blacksmithing course here: tombalek(dot)com(backslash)knife.

I also make knives. Have my own small forge and focus only on chef's knives. Trained down in Australia at Tharwa Valley Forge, which offers amazing comprehensive courses. My own stuff is on Instagram. Just search "tskblades".

Small forges are relatively cheap and the heat is easily contained. It's all the other equipment that is expensive and bulky.

Cheers,

Aun
