Which is better?

Saw a few ASUS gaming CPUs - chio casing at a very competitive price and with a 3 years on-site warranty. For example, G10AC only at $1640, i7-4770 with 16gb ram and 2TB HDD.

Tried to compare with the same specs on a DIY PC from Sim Lim and that costs much more, + you need to purchase windows OS at $100++.

Any comments?

Diy vs branded

DIY
In term of performance. U get to optimize own build
For gaming purpose
-i5 instead of i7
-8gb intead of 16gb
Save unnecessary expense and addon to other components

Like this items missing from branded pc
-ssd
-better graphic card
-modular psu

In term of warranty. Some diy parts have longer warranty

In term of appearance. Can choose own chassis
Addon led fan,strip
Nice and neat cable management
Good airflow

the asus g10ac had gt 640. Thats a low end graphics car. 1 $1600 diy desktop could get u a high end $400 r9 280x or $500 gtx 770 while still having an i5, decent motherboard, 8gb ram, ssd+hdd, case of your choice, excellent power supply, a good monitor + operating system.
Not sure if you were drunk during your comparison.

haha yeah the asus pc graphics is the lousy one.. I must have had some beers before comparing. LOL

Gigabyte H87-D3H
Intel I5-4670
Crucial 1600CII 8GB
WD 1 TB HDD
Kingston SSD 120 GB
PALIT 770 2GB
Samsung / LG 24X DVDRW
Corsair GS600 PSU / 750M
Cooler Master Casing HAF 912
TP Link DUAL BAND
Windows Windows 8 Home/Pro

Did some basic setup of a DIY pc specs above and its already about $1700 range... any comments? But of course as you guys said, there is a SSD and a much better graphics card.

Drop the giga mobo and go for msi b85m g43+ i5-4570. Cheaper as well.

Drop the palit 770, and go for r9 280x. Cheaper and same perf as 770.

U dun need 750w psu. 600-650w will do.

Case is personal, but maybe can go for something cheaper.

Cause bro it's Asus it's overpriced lol. You are better off with gigabyte windforce 280x or msi twin frozr. Similiar performance at a much cheaper price
