Thanks for the replies

I will do more research, hopefully can find somewhere even nearer to my home
Glad to see this topic appearing in EDMW. I'm not an expert in meditation, but I'm always happy to hear that some netizens are keen on learning it. There are many forms of meditation in the market, and Buddhism offers a few types alone.
For me, I learned basic meditation from a layperson Vajiro Richard Chia at Pu Ji Si Buddhist Research Centre at Geylang. Official website is here at:
https://www.basicbuddhism.org/basic-meditation-course/
After I have gained the basics, I continued to study and update my meditation practices by tuning in to online talks and guided meditation lessons. For me, my Mahayana Buddhist mindfulness meditation learning resources were provided by Plum Village of Europe and Vietnamese lineage. The founder is the late Thich Nhat Hanh (Official Website:
https://plumvillage.org/)
Concurrently, I practised Theravada Buddhist meditation led by guided meditation audio and video clips from Buddhist Society of Western Australia. BSWA is of Thai Forest tradition (lineage of Ajahn Chah), presently championed by Ajahn Brahmavamso (Official Website:
https://bswa.org).
The above are just some resources I found useful, you have the liberty to explore and see what suits you. Buddhist meditation is quite open-ended, there is no fixed teaching that you have to follow though there are guidelines available to help you determine and discern what is suitable for you. I wish you all the best in the search of a relevant teacher. For me, I decided that I would be a Zazen Buddhist after I encountered my late Zen roshi Adam "Genkaku" Fisher who was based in Northampton, Massachusetts, and he taught me how to play with Zen koans, riddles, ironies and dichotomies. Zen meditation is therefore what gives me the most meaning, but not everybody likes it, so like I'd say, enjoy your search, and enjoy what you are doing. You probably wouldn't need to spend a lot of time and money to find a good teacher, but because there are lots of Meditation teachers these days, sometimes you have to hop around a little to find one that suits your temperament.
Alright, that's all I have to say. All the best! Good luck in your wholesome endeavours!
