Newbie question, pls advise.
I just got my unit. There is an existing SCV point and data(RJ45) point in the living room at one side of the wall, however I want my Smart TV to be mount on the opposite side of the wall.
I am thinking to make use of my SCV point in the bedroom (beside Living Room) and extend it to Living Room (through drilling of the wall), reason being trunking will only be exposed in the bedroom so Living room will looks more aesthetic.

Is it necessary to transfer the Bedroom Telephone Point (which I will convert to Data Point) to the Living room wall where my new SCV point is.

Is there any repercussion if I "takes away" the data point in the bedroom.

From what I understand, his cable modem will be inside his "bedroom". He is trying to link up the data point from his "bedroom" to his "livingroom" so he plug :

SCV point -> cable modem -> data point(bedroom) -> data point(livingroom) -> smart tv

It can be done. just need to redo all the termination endpoint again.

So basically in simpler terms, his TV and SCV point are on 1 piece of wall, albeit front and back?

1) I just got my unit. There is an existing SCV point and data(RJ45) point in the living room at one side of the wall, however I want my Smart TV to be mount on the opposite side of the wall.

I understand the already built points are not suitable for your deco plan.

2) I am thinking to make use of my SCV point in the bedroom (beside Living Room) and extend it to Living Room (through drilling of the wall), reason being trunking will only be exposed in the bedroom so Living room will looks more aesthetic.

This bedroom share the same wall as the living room. You want to extend another SCV point to the living room to sit your deco plan. Then you can place your TV at this side of the living room.

3) Is it necessary to transfer the Bedroom Telephone Point (which I will convert to Data Point) to the Living room wall where my new SCV point is.

By transfer, do you mean divert away from the bedroom to the living room - meaning you lose the use of this data point in this bedroom? You can run a LAN cable to the living room thru the wall but don't make this a permanent divert. Instead do a plug/unplug type of extension where you can divert now and yet at some point in the future give you the flexibility to put a router or switch in this bedroom. Then your living room cable plug into this router or switch and you get the use of data point in the living room as well as in this bedroom.

4) Is there any repercussion if I "takes away" the data point in the bedroom.

See (3) above.

Thanks for the advise on running a LAN cable to the LR thru the wall.

I am "extending" an existing SCV Point Location to another without sacrificing the original point. However, I cant "extend" instead I have to "change" an existing Data Point Location to another.

Assuming if I change the Data Port from my bedroom to LR, my bedroom wont have a Data Port but I found out, for me it wont be a concern as I am using that as a Guest Room. The only thing I am unable to do is to connect any Laptop/CPU to Data Port(wired connection) for better connectivity, otherwise WIFI would suffice.

I will be having one router at my DB Box and another router in another bedroom (btw, Mine is a 4-room BTO) as an Wireless Access Point so my Master Bedroom can get better connection.

For the new LAN cable you are running to "change" the existing data point to the living room, you can terminate the LAN cable in the bedroom as a normal LAN wall socket point, side by side with the existing point. Then get a short LAN cable and plug both end, one into the existing point and another into the newly run point in the bedroom. This way, you can "change" the LAN now or at some point in time in the future, you can also use a router/switch in the bedroom and still can get wired connection in the bedroom and living room.

It will be a guest room now but it may be someone's bedroom in the future. In time to come, even the 5G band will become very congested, like what is happening to the 2.4G now.

I gotten my 4-rm BTO last year. I guess the floor plan shouldnt be very far off.

I changed the SCV wall point where it's supposed to be to the opposite side of the wall, it can be done. As for the data point, I asked the contractor to "extend" it to the room, where I setup my wireless router. As in my opinion, it's the best place for wireless access which I can get signal from anywhere in the house (only kitchen has the weakest signal due to it behind the bomb shelter).
