Hi guys, I am looking to build an ITX CPU for Microsoft office and web usage only.

Monitor & Speaker needed.
OS not needed.
Keyboard, mouse not needed.
SSD build.

Budget of 550 excluding monitor (not sure how much this costs), is that possible?

Guys how about if I do ATX/microATX build instead? Asking because itx cannot support dvd drive.

Celeron is probably too slow, same performance as chromebook right? Play 1 video open 1 office doc lag liao.

Honestly, I'm not so sure. But I do have a 2009 laptop with AMD Athlon M320 paired with an 840 Evo. Totally fine with 720p youtubes, excel spreadsheets and word docs. Only thing holding it back is max 4GB DDR2 which meant it couldn't handle firefox mem leak, other than that, no issues.

It takes slightly longer 5-10s for Adobe Flash plugin container to startup in web browser, but other than that, no noticeable slowdowns for a $399 laptop in its day. Maybe $Face and other people with low end spec can chime their experiences in :)

Nope... I'm now simulating Celeron 1.6 GHz and 4GB RAM with my Sandy Bridge Core i5... Playing 720p video concurrently with Chrome 10 tabs and SSD only experiencing mild jitter (not even lag)...
