Budget Mini ITX Build - Help needed !!!

all the knowledgable bro's out here, i am looking to build a (SFF) small desktop for home. Long time since i build the rig, have following questions. Your help is much appreciated.

Questions:
1- Is Intel not a preferred brand anymore, i see everyone building AMD based rig???
2- anyone has suggestion on a build?

Must have:
Small Foot print
USB C
CHEAP

No need:
Dedicated GPU

Reusing the following components:
Keyboard
Mice
Camera
Headset
Have bunch of SSD, most likely will buy NVME
Have 4x8GB DDR4 from previous build that i can reuse

IMHO, since you are not gaming, it doesn't really matter whether you are going for Intel or AMD.

If you need something really small and no need for graphics card, you can get Intel or AMD NUC. However, you won't be able to reuse your RAM if they are DIMMs (NUC can only use so-dimm).

Sorry, mini itx + budget doesn't work. ITX has a price premium over matx/atx.

You're much better off doing a normal ATX build - will be cheaper

quite a few contradictions here:
1. itx and cheap dont usually go together - there is usually a heavy premium on itx parts
2. most ryzen cpus dont have integrated gpu, unlike intel. so if u dont use dedicated gpu, u wont be able to get any video output, unless u make sure u get apus with igpu.

I prefer (grew up working on intel hence) Intel CPUs and most of them come with onboard graphics.

USB C is a basic future proofing and i have few devices already hence it is a deal breaker for me.

Noticed a few bro mentioning this, guess i will have to look for a smallest cabinet for ATX board.

Meshify C S2 (the new refresh of the popular meshify C) just came out if u want a compact atx (has usb C). Or else u can get mATX case as well for mATX mobo, its usually shorter but footprint not necessarily smaller vs ATX cases.

If you really confirm won't get dGPU, go check out the Inwin Chopin case. Get a Ryzen 4000 series APU + AMD A520 ITX mobo. If not get Intel i3 or i5 with a Intel B460 ITX mobo. All in should cost you about $600 - $800 or so before discounts.

did a quick look at the maibenben. It's basically a laptop in a box. not saying good or bad, but know what you're getting, laptop vs. desktop capablity.

Chopin looks very nice and i was thinking of i5 10040/10050 + ASRock H470M-ITX

10500 - not worth the upgrade
H470 - good choice because can support 11th gen CPU in future bios upgrade

Note: if you don't plan on ever upgrading to a 11th gen CPU, you might consider a B460 board instead. If I'm not wrong the AsRock H470M-ITX only has wireless AC, vs. AX (WiFi-6) on some of the B460 boards. The Wi-Fi card alone, if you buy separately and install, will be $30.

My current ITX build uses the MSI MPG B460I Gaming Edge + i5 10400F (no onboard graphics). Cost me $400 total for mobo and CPU. You should expect to pay about $30-$40 more for the integrated GPU version.

For the RAM, you can only reuse 2 x 8GB. But honestly for budget build, 16GB enough lah. Give 4GB to the integrated GPU, sell the other 2 sticks summore can earn back some money.

So the last thing you just gotta buy the SSD. WD Blue SN550 is a good buy, very decent price for decent performance.

CPU cooler for budget build just use the Intel default is good enough. Anyway not gonna overclock with the 10400 so. If you really want to get a better one can try going for Cryorig C7 or Noctua NH-L9i. IMO the Noctua is worth the roughly $10 more vs. the Cryorig.

All in you can expect to spend about $600 to $700
