prism 27" forget which model

around 6years old pc, dont think any thing can be kept right?

Anyway not sure if allowed, but feel free to PM me if you are keen to build for me (ill pay la of cos) Thank u!

First and foremost what is your budget? If money is not a concern, go pcpartpicker.com and pick a template and off you go to a sim lim shop. Self-Custom build is not a plug and play, you got to do your own due diligence. Some common ones are Case clearance pertaining to GPU length, custom CPU cooler and space for good cable management.

I despise the local market for previous generation PC parts, especially for CPU and Mobo. Abit out of touch now, never gotten CPU mobo locally for years. Mainly uses amazon parts...cause YOLO warranty. Anyway CPU warranty can claim anywhere so its just your Mobo which i suggest you do the same. Amazon got good return policy, if it runs beautifully chances within 1 year it fails is rare.

From your requirement and going for minimum budget.
Will be AMD CPU from AM4(Platform, if dk just google) like 5600x
Mobo something from B550 lineup like MSI B550-A Pro
GPU (aint great time since the newer one releasing) but if must then RX 6600
RAM you just buy what you need typically 16GB from corsair/hyperx etc
Case you buy what you like
PSU a 650w from seasonic will do

Safe ish to keep
ssd 128gb
hd 1tb
ram (Missing??)

Maybe can port over, need reddit more on this:
win10 64bit

Im a uncle and what i share might not be the best so research abit on the stuff i wrote

U can go to Aftershock website and browse their ready to ship category and see what kind of builds u can get for ur budget. From there u can work out roughly what ur system will look like if u choose the DIY route.

For example for about $1.6k budget this is the system u could get at Aftershock which is pretty ok for a mid range gaming rig. U dun have to buy exactly the same as the AS rig, but u roughly get the idea what kind of system ur money will get u then u can work out ur ideal system that u like.

colour coordinating a pc is already quite hard as there aren't a lot of parts out there that aren't black, generally u do have to pay a premium for white parts and more so for other colours. if ur working with such a constrained budget, the best u can probably do is have a flat black build with a white case, and maybe get some custom coloured psu cables.

nope, very expensive for what it is worth. u can refer to the value gaming rig from here:
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/pc-rig-recommendations-for-2023.6852056/which will be faster and better quality for way less money, which u can then spend the savings on aesthetics as u planned.

Consider whether sacrificing component quality for aesthetics is worth it.

Investing solely in aesthetics or only focusing on main components while settling with the cheapest parts for everything else is an amateur mistake.

PC reselling companies love to choose parts that are both cheap and good-looking to maximize appeal and sales volume, but if there were no downsides to doing this, it would surely be a dream, right? Who doesn't want cheap, good-looking, fast, and reliable? Unfortunately, this ideal combination does not exist in reality.

Wouldn't it be incredibly naive for one to think that it can all come in one package and have no compromises?

I would kindly advise following the recommended rig in the thread instead.

Best of luck to you!

dynacore has a better price for the 5600 + b550m/ac combo ($343, $323 at tradepac), and better ram and nvme for those prices. they have the kingston fury beast rgb kit with slightly tighter 3600c17 timings for $79 and the gen4 sn770 for $96.
650w fsp hv pro 80+ bronze - $66
dont skimp too much on the psu. for just $3 more u can get the cooler master mwe 550w v2 bronze from pc themes, which is better quality and has 5y warranty opposed to 3 on the fsp unit.
ID COOLING ZOOMFLOW 360XT ARGB LIQUID COOLING - $140
bizgram has the arctic liquid freezer ii 360 argb, which has best in class cooling, for just $23 more. then again, aio is very overkill for a 5600.
