Hello there, I am trying to build my own rig planned since august this year but however due to my NS commitment I didn't have time to browse the parts till recently.

Currently I have the following item which I have gotten them recently
MSI GTX 970 OC @ 411
S2316H 23" monitor @ 189

Since I have spent $600 already, my budget would be between $800 to $900 for the rest of the PC parts (SSD, PSU, Case, CPU+MB, RAM and OS). No need for keyboard, mouse, ODD nor HDD as I have these already. Hoping to build in a black and blue theme if possible within this budget. Usage would be playing CSGO, Dota2 and GTA V.

Thanks :)

before our bros recommend you..

Provide more info for us to help you..

...
Need any of these within the budget?

...
WiFi adapter

Placing PC on table or floor?
Any physical dimension constraint at your PC holding area?

Which internet provider plan and router are you using?
Is your home in a relatively new apartment built in the past 8 years?
How far is your upcoming PC located from the router?
Any obstruction between your PC and router?

anyhow.. is there any casing that you prefer or any casing will do?

This is my take..

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4460 + MSI H81M-E35 V2 - $349 (PCTheme)
RAM: Avexir Core AVD3U16000904G-2CW/CI 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Dual Channel (Blue LED) - $95 (t258jgn)
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB - $122+3 (Lazada Singapore)
PSU: Super Flower Leadex Silver 550W [80 Plus Silver] - $100 (t258jgn)

OS: Microsoft Windows 8 Professional 64-bit Product Key [OEM] @ $30 (Reddit)
Upgrade for free to Windows 10 via free Windows 8.1 update.

Total $699

alternative RAM: Kingston ValueRAM DDR3-1600 CL11 8GB @ $58 (Video-Pro Online)
alternative CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4460 + MSI B85-G43 - $427 (PCTheme)

with the $ balance.. get yourself m-atx casing you fancy with side window..
if not enough blue.. slap it with fans or lighthing with blue led..

edit: when you choose casing, make sure it has enough clearance for the GPU and PSU..

Thanks for the suggestion! Oh is mid tower casing enough clearance for both GPU and psu? I thought there shouldn't be a problem with it unless I getting mini atx case?

i thought you are going for m-atx casing.. cause you want to place on the table..

mid tower should be no prob..

add in: Avexir Core series DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 2x4GB (Blue LED) - $79 .. 2 days only

B85-G43 as suggested is an atx MB,
for m-atx, look at B85M-G43.. typo error, sorry..

I believe my table is big enough to fit mid tower ba... if it cant fit i dont mind placing on the floor either. haha

Oh great, thanks for putting that lazada current promotion. I probably be getting that ram, looks really nice

Btw is there anything to note when purchasing MB? heard like you need to purchase a MB which supports DDR3 ram thus unable to support DDR4 ram? and for GPU can it fit whatever MB is in the market? sorry i'm still a newbie in this field :slant:

for socket 1150, like the MBs suggested above, are using DDR3 ram
for socket 1151, all MBs using DDR4, exception of some MBs eg MSI B150M BAZOOKA D3, the initial D3 denote using DDR3 ram

For the GPU, no prob to fit any brands of motherboard that has interface PCI- Express x16 ..
