Dun get u. So u trying to reply to Typhoon Systems or u trying to replying to TS?

I look at previous posts, TS only mentioned 21.5 inch monitor. So i dun see y he needs a 1080ti, unless i missed out on a specific requirement that he mentioned.

And if u replying to Typhoon Systems, do take note that Typhoon Systems is a boutique systems builder. Something like Aftershock. I'm sure u dont go up to Aftershock or HP pre-built or Alienware pre-built and ask them wad stunt they trying to pull. Somemore TS alrdy mentioned he was considering HP Omen. So trying to compare a systems integrator build with a DIY build, dont u think its a little unfair? Coz TS will be paying more for the ability to dump his own computer to Typhoon Systems instead of troubleshooting component by component if anything goes wrong.

TS was considering HP Omen which is a pre-built system as well, hence our outreach to him.

DIY has its charms (We are after all a bunch of DIY fellas, some of whom have been doing it since the days of 386 and 486), but there are people whom for various reasons may want a one-stop solution for their PC instead. Hence here we are.

Thanks for the various inputs and opinions in the thread.

The reason I used the HP Omen as a base is because it serves the needs/requirements of my games decently and allows me to look into other games that I may be interested in. It is also because I wanted to be lazy and use a laptop in bed or on the couch instead of being at my desk.

But I've been told that I could DIY a desktop with much better specs or similar specs at a lower budget and the advice is probably right. So that's why I'm considering if I should give up the mobility for specs/price.

If you want to try building the computer by yourself, you can probably find better deals on each component from Lazada or Qoo10. If not, just head down to Tradepac or PCThemes and ask them to give you a quotation for this build and ask for some discounts. Can ask them to help you build the system F.O.C if you ask nicely.

This rig will last you quite a while before needing to upgrade the components. However the price can be further brought down if you do not mind upgrading the graphics card in 2 years time. In this case, change the graphics card to a MSI or Gigabyte or Palit GTX 1060(Should be able to run all those games at max).

New Total : $1636

If it is just mobility at home, it's really worth considering giving up on it. Unless u are referring to mobility while on the go, it's a whole different story.

Would be better if u go into DIY. U can always go to Youtube for tutorials on how to assemble ur own DIY Pc, or even have it assembled at shops in Sls at a fee. Once u go into the DIY path, doubt u will turn back unless u are looking at laptops as the specs are definitely better

Or you can budget 1500 for pc and abit over $1000 for ultra notebook so you can surf net watch movie without restricting yourself at your pc table.

$1500 can get a 1060 system which is more than enough for the few games you listed.
