Looking at building a gaming rig - budget for around 1200 SGD. Always willing to be flexible but I only use it for games like total war series/ civ 5 etc and if I can cut it down as no real special need at present then happy to consider.

Current PC is too slow now.. its an intel core 2 1.86 Ghz with 3gb ram and Geforce GTX460.

Looking for a MOBO that will allow upgrade, 8 GB ram, reasonable graphics card but want to go for SSD harddrive. Monitor would also be a plus as old rig will be handed down to kids.

Where is the best place to purchase and do you have any suggestions for a set up?

I have replaced ram and graphics card previously plus powersupply sointerested if building own rig is doable.

thanks in advance

Shouldn't be too hard, actually that is the same experience I had before building my first DIY PC, so just watch a few videos, learn from it and you are good to go :s13:

So reuse your PSU if possible. RAM if your new board is same standard.
